Summer Program FAQ

Q: When is Day Camp?
A: Day Camp begins on Monday, June 18, and ends on Friday, August 24.  Day Camp runs daily from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  Before- and after-camp day care begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 6:00 PM for no additional cost. There is no Day Camp or Summer School on Wednesday, July 4, due to the holiday.

Q: When is Summer School?
A: Summer School begins on Monday, June 25, and ends on Friday, July 27.  There is no Day Camp or Summer School on Wednesday, July 4, due to the holiday.

Q: When will applications be available?
A: They are NOW available! Click HERE to request an application be mailed to you, or click HERE to download the application.

Q: Is there an application fee?
A: Yes, an application fee of $125 per child is due at the time of enrollment.  

Q: Is there a sibling discount?
A: Since Faith Baptist offers one of the most affordable Summer School & Day Camp programs in the area, we are unable to offer additional discounts.

Q: Is there a deadline for enrollment?
A: There is no deadline for enrollment, but space is limited and it is recommended that you enroll as soon as possible.  Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve bases.    All classes are offered upon sufficient demand.  

Q: Are there additional fees for Day Camp trips?
A: No! Our Day Camp packages include ALL trips and activities at no additional cost, including Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Knott's Berry Farm, and California Adventure. 

Q: What's included in the Day Camp prices?
A: All Day Camp Packages include FREE before- and after- camp care, FREE lunch (every day), FREE trips & theme park adventures, 2 FREE Day Camp t-shirts, and FREE weekly swim lessons.

Q: Does my camper need a lunch?
A: Lunch is included in the cost of Day Camp and the Combined Day Camp & Summer School program tuition; however, your child is welcome to bring his own lunch, healthy snacks, and drinks. 

Q: What are the payment options?
A: Summer School tuition is due in full at time of enrollment.  Payment for the Day Camp Weekly Package and Day Camp Daily Package is due in full at time of enrollment.  A $500 payment for the Day Camp Premium Package is due in full at time of enrollment.  Any remaining Day Camp balances must be paid through SMART Tuition.  Payments are due July 1 and August 1 late after the tenth of each month.  Payments can be made over the phone, sent in the mail, or submitted through the SMART Tuition website.  SMART Tuition accepts payments by check or credit/debit card.  A $50 late fee will be added to payments made after the tenth of each month and children will be required to stay home until accounts are paid in full.  An additional $100 late fee will be assessed to the account each month after August 10 until the account is paid in full.

Q: What ages can participate?
A: Children must be four-years-old by December 2, in order to attend Day Camp.   Children entering grades K4 through 8th-grade may attend Day Camp.  Children must be five-years-old by December 2, in order to attend Summer School.  Children entering grades K5 through 12th-grade in the fall may attend Summer School. 

Q: My child does not attend Faith Baptist Schools.  Can he still attend Day Camp and Summer School? 
A: Yes, students who do not currently attend FB are welcome to attend Day Camp and Summer School.

Q: How does the registration process work?
A: Completed applications may be returned to the Financial Office with the $125 application fee per child.  Faith Baptist Schools’ office hours for registration is from 8:00 AM4:30 PM daily, Monday through Friday. 

Q: Do you offer before or after care?
A: Day care is available before Day Camp beginning at 7:00 AM and after Day Camp until 6:00 PM.  This day care is available at no additional cost.  Students enrolled in Summer School must be picked up no later than 15 minutes past class dismissal, unless also enrolled in Day Camp.

Q: What is the camper to staff ration in Day Camp?
A: The average ratio is 10 to 1.

Q: Who are the camp counselors?
A: Our camp counselors consist of Head Counselors and Junior Counselors (JC's).  Many of the Head Counselors are Faith Baptist teachers and staff, while some are Faith Baptist Alumni.  Our JC's consist of some of Faith Baptist's top high school students.  They are volunteers who have met a list of high standards in order to qualify for the JC position.  In addition to creating a fun and exciting camp experience, our counselors' top priority is to care for the safety of our campers.  

Q: How will my child be placed in a group for Day Camp?
A: Our groups are mainly separated by age/grade level and gender.  Here is a list of our Day Camp groups:
